January 25, 2023: Understanding Multicultural Communication

Speaker: Jordan B. Westcott, MS, NCC

Subject: Come learn different ways to communicate about cultural similarities and differences! This talk will provide an overview of different elements of cultural identity and practical approaches for improving cross-cultural communication.

Bio: Jordan B. Westcott, MS, NCC, Adjunct Professor & Ph.D. Candidate. Ms. Westcott is a Ph.D. candidate in Counselor Education at Virginia Tech. She researches LGBTQIA+ health equity with a developmental perspective, as well as multicultural and social justice approaches in counseling.

Our Brown Bag lunches are held monthly from 12:00pm - 1:00pm in room 411 of the Roanoke Higher Education Center.
