RHEC Executive Director Retiring, New Director Appointment Announced

Dr. Thomas McKeon, Executive Director of the Roanoke Higher Education Center since its inception 17 years ago, will be retiring at the end of the month. During his time at the Center, Dr. McKeon has overseen the development of the Roanoke Higher Education Center and helped achieve its mission of expanding learning opportunities to the people of the Roanoke region. Over 9,000 people have completed degrees, certificates and workforce training programs under his leadership.

Replacing Dr. McKeon at the end of this year will be Dr. Kay Dunkley, current director of the Virginia Tech Roanoke Center.
