UVA | Certificate | Online – The UVA School of Continuing and Professional Studies’ undergraduate Certificate in Accounting prepares individuals to assume greater responsibility for the accounting function by providing a foundation in accounting, auditing, taxation, commercial law, and managerial finance. The certificate is ideal for individuals new to the accounting profession. It is also for mid-level professionals looking to stay ahead of the competition to advance their careers or increase their earning potential.

The program includes courses that are both required and recommended as preparation to sit for the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) examination.

30 Undergraduate Credits | Course Checklist

The undergraduate Certificate in Accounting requires you to complete a total of 10 courses (6 required, 4 electives). The curriculum includes introductory and intermediate courses in accounting, as well as electives in auditing, taxation, commercial law, and managerial finance.

Eligible for Active Duty Military Rate of $250 per credit hour (in state and out of state).

The School provides a reduced tuition rate of $250 per credit hour for active-duty military enrolled in online undergraduate degree and online undergraduate certificate programs. How to Apply

Individuals must apply to and be offered admission to earn a certificate. A maximum of two courses that will count toward satisfying the requirements for the certificate may be taken prior to admission.
