UVA | Certificate | Online – The UVA School of Continuing and Professional Studies’ online undergraduate Certificate in Cybersecurity Analysis provides the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to assume entry-level positions in cybersecurity. The certificate provides a detailed understanding of security vulnerabilities, attacks, threats, and mitigation solutions in the context of today’s cyber and information technology networks.

18 Undergraduate Credits | Course Checklist
The undergraduate Certificate in Cybersecurity Analysis requires you to complete 6 courses, (4 required, 2 electives). The courses are mapped to the National Cybersecurity Workforce Framework, as part of the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Careers and Studies. The curriculum provides a global perspective on cybersecurity and the impact of cyber threats; cybersecurity policy, law and ethics; human factors in cybersecurity; and writing and communications in a technical field. Digital Forensics, mobile security, ethical hacking, and data analytics are electives.

How to Apply
Individuals must apply to and be offered admission to earn a certificate. A maximum of two courses that will count toward satisfying the requirements for the certificate may be taken prior to admission.
