Certificate in Human Resource Management

Average Time to Complete 3 semesters

About the Program

MBU | Certificate | Online – Human Resource Management (HRM) focuses on the recruitment and management of an enterprise’s greatest resource — its human capital. It is the organizational function that deals with issues related to people such as compensation, hiring, performance management, organization development, safety, wellness, benefits, employee motivation, communication, administration, and training. In order to maximize organizational effectiveness, human potential — individuals’ capabilities, time, and talents — must be managed. Human resource management works to ensure that employees are able to meet the organization’s goals.

If you think your career path may lead you into leadership or organizational development, then the Human Resource Management minor may be the ideal supplement to your liberal arts or business major. The curriculum provides students with a thorough understanding of human resource management theory and practice and allows them the opportunity to select specific courses of interest based on their career goals and objectives.
