UVA | Certificate | Online – The UVA School of Continuing and Professional Studies’ online graduate Certificate in Leadership provides a solid foundation of leadership and management competencies that can be applied immediately in the workplace. The certificate is ideal for individuals wanting to advance their learning and skills in the area of leadership and management. It is appropriate for working professionals in the private sector, the nonprofit sector, higher education, and for those working in federal, state, or local government.
Students earning a graduate Certificate in Leadership are eligible to apply and transfer their credits into the Hollins University Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) program through a graduate transfer partnership.

The graduate Certificate in Leadership requires you to complete a total of 6 courses (4 required, 2 electives). The curriculum introduces students to various theories and styles of leadership, organizational leadership, communication & team development, and financial management for leaders. The electives allow students to focus in general leadership, technology leadership, or project management.

How to Apply
Individuals must apply to and be offered admission to earn a certificate. A maximum of two courses that will count toward satisfying the requirements for the certificate may be taken prior to admission.
