About the Program

MBU | Master’s | Online – In response to the needs of a growing population of English Language Learners, Mary Baldwin is pleased to offer a Master of Education degree in English as a Second Language (ESL). This specialization is for licensed teachers who wish to add an endorsement in ESL. Our comprehensive program is grounded in theory, successful practices with English Language Learners, leadership, and research. Our program provides students with a broad understanding of how to design curriculum, instruction, and assessments; meet the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse students, incorporate technology into instruction, and design and conduct inquiry-based research.

Summer – April 15

Applications will require:

  • Official transcripts of all post-secondary work
  • Two letters of reference from professional
  • A goal statement essay
  • Praxis Core Scores
