About the Program

MBU | Master’s | Hybrid – This Master of Arts in Teaching Program provides a Master’s degree as well as teacher licensure in elementary education. Most classes are online, with a few hybrid classes that meet face to face at RHEC. Taking MBU classes at RHEC provides students personal contact with their advisor and professors. It is that “personal touch” that makes MBU a “step above” other colleges and universities.

44 Credit Hours | Course Checklist

The following are Virginia Department of Education General Education requirements and must be completed prior to student teaching: English Comp., 2 English electives, College Algebra or higher, Math elective,  2 sciences with labs (different disciplines), US History, Economics or Geography, and Virginia State and Local Government.

$50 one time registration fee

Graduate: $495 per semester hour
