About the Program
MBU | Bachelor’s | Online – The RN to BSN Program is a post-licensure program that will lead to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. A BSN provides additional skills that can improve your career potential. Mary Baldwin’s flexible online program is designed to meet the needs of working nurses. Students will receive individualized support with personal attention.
Nursing practice must be grounded in professionalism, evidence, commitment to life-long learning, and service to community and profession. Today’s complex healthcare environment, which includes higher patient acuities and rapid technological advances, requires nurses to achieve higher levels of education in order to provide safe and effective nursing care. The RN to BSN Program at MBU is committed to providing professional education that promotes contemporary practice that is responsive to our ever-changing health care environment.

The mission of the RN to BSN program is to provide a high quality, rigorous online educational program that prepares current practitioners to be transformational and innovative nurse leaders. This will be accomplished by fostering evidence-based practice, promoting critical decision making, engendering effective interprofessional cooperation, collaboration, and practice, and being responsive to community healthcare needs.
The only prerequisite requirements are RN licensure and acceptance into the RN to BSN Program. General education courses that are needed can be taken concurrently with the RN to BSN coursework. This allows you to begin the nursing curriculum immediately!
RN to BSN coursework is 30 credits. Number of credits needed to meet graduation requirements depends on an individual student’s general education courses that are transferred in.
