VSU Offering Dual Enrollment Opportunity for High School Seniors

Jumpstart Your Success at VSU! Virginia State University is excited to share a new opportunity for high school seniors who have been admitted to, applied to, or are interested in attending Virginia State University. The Emerge EmpowerED: VSU Dual Enrollment Initiative allows students to earn college credit while building the skills needed for a successful transition to higher education.

This program allows you to 1) earn 3 college credits in a general education history course (HIST 245: HBCU History); 2) participate in interactive workshops focused on academic success, college readiness, career exploration, and financial planning; and 3) receive ongoing academic and social support from the VSU Office of Dual Enrollment.

Program Dates: March 19 – May 5, 2026
Course Format: Online, Asynchronous
Cost: $425 (tuition and digital course materials; financial assistance available for Pell-eligible students)
Deadline to Apply: Friday, February 27, 2026
