SSC tutoring program provides free course-specific and topic-based tutoring services to all RHEC partner institution students. Our highly trained tutors strive to make your tutoring experience productive and informative.

Writing papers and resumes can be challenging and the Writing Center is here to help. Bring in your completed or unfinished work and we’ll look it over and guide you to success. SSC strives to promote life-long learning and empower students to become successful in their career paths

Having a hard time focusing? Need advice on time management or note-taking? Our study skills workshops may be for you! You can sign up for individual or group skills workshops. You can also join us for scheduled workshops throughout the year.

Fee-Based Tutoring
For students not affiliated with the Roanoke Higher Education Center, in-person tutoring services are available for a fee. Registration and fees are required prior to services.
Have a Learning Acceleration Grant?
For middle and high school students who are not affiliated with the Roanoke Higher Education Center and are recipients of Virginia’s K-12 Learning Acceleration Grant, in-person and online tutoring services are available. Registration is required prior to services.
