Our professional tutors are trained to help you improve the skills you need to be successful. Both in-person and online tutoring and writing services are available.

How to Register for Our Services
Student Success Center services are free for students of our Member Institutions.
For individuals not affiliated with the Roanoke Higher Education Center, in-person tutoring services are available for a fee.
What to Expect
All of our services are free to students taking classes with our Member Institutions. For most of our sessions, you will need to make an appointment. Our tutors will help you:
- Identify your learning preferences and help you with study strategies and content learning
- Guide you through the learning process using study practice techniques to help you understand the material
- Help you identify a study plan that suits your goals and sets you up for success
Our tutors are here for academic support and assistance of the highest quality and will not complete homework, quizzes, exams, or other work for students.
Scheduling
We generally recommend that our students meet with tutors 1-2 times per week. Most tutoring sessions are scheduled for 60 minutes. We recommend making a consistent tutoring schedule and meeting at the same time every week.
If for some reason there is a need for a schedule change, please contact your tutor via Accudemia or call the Student Success Center office.
