Accessing the Library
The Roanoke Higher Education Center Library is for the students, clients, faculty, and staff of the Center. We are not a public library. To access the library, you will need to have an RHEC library card and sign in using our touch screen system. Current students, clients, faculty, and staff affiliated with one of our member institutions may apply for a free library card online or at the circulation desk. You must provide proof of your current status, such as:
- University or school identification
- Letter of acceptance
- Current semester course schedule
- Signed letter from a member institution
Community Borrowers and Guests
Anyone not affiliated with the Roanoke Higher Education Center may apply for a community borrower membership at the circulation desk for a nominal annual fee to check out material. A community borrower card does not grant library computer access or other privileges. Guests participating in meetings, training sessions, or day rental activities at the Center can request temporary access from library staff.
