New Video Highlights Partnership Between RHEC and AEP Foundation

Thanks to the support of the AEP Foundation, the Roanoke Higher Education Center (RHEC) is opening doors to higher education, scholarship opportunities, and gainful employment in the Greater Roanoke Valley.

Over the past three years, RHEC has received $200,000 in grant funding from the American Electric Power Foundation as part of the “Social and Racial Equity: Diversity in Partnerships” initiative. This partnership creates opportunities for educational access and job training throughout the Roanoke Region. Funding supports scholarships for needs-based minority students, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training, and a free Summer Math Camp for rising 3rd-5th grade students. By implementing these programs, RHEC demonstrates its commitment to social and racial equity and providing educational opportunities to all. We encourage you to watch this video and experience the impact of this grant. On behalf of RHEC, we want to express our gratitude and appreciation to the AEP Foundation for their generosity and support.
