About the Program
Region 5 | Testing Preparation | Hybrid – To provide students with the skills necessary to pass the GED subject test exams to earn a GED Credential, Roanoke Valley-Alleghany Region 5 Adult Education provides instruction in the basic academic skills for reading, writing, math, social studies, and science. After enrollment and diagnostic testing, students are given the opportunity to improve their skills and increase their knowledge through direct instruction, online instruction, and continued diagnostic testing so they may receive the basic academic skills to enter post-secondary institutions or other training programs after passing the GED Test. While there is no cost for the class, an enrollment fee and the purchase of workbooks may be required. Students must complete an enrollment and orientation event before beginning class.

Courses & Requirements
Students will improve their basic academic skills in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.
Classes are free. There may be a registration fee and recommended workbook purchase.

How to Apply
To apply for the class, students must complete enrollment forms at a designated enrollment event listed on Roanoke Valley-Alleghany Region 5 Adult Education’s website at www.regionfiveadulted.com.
