About the Program
RHEC students now have access to Virginia Tech’s new Online MBA. This cohort-based program is designed for working professionals who want to advance their careers while balancing their work and personal life. The part-time schedule allows full-time working professionals to earn an MBA while bringing new knowledge and skills to the workplace. The 22-month program is offered fully online with 50% of the program completed asynchronously and the remaining 50% delivered through a synchronous component during periodic class weekends.
Courses & Requirements
In your first year in the Online MBA, you will master business fundamentals, primarily using the case study method. The core business functions of accounting, finance, management, business information technology, and marketing are taught to provide a quantitative and analytical foundation for the more rigorous, advanced courses in your second year. The following summer semester allows for a selection of electives to personalize your MBA experience in an area of importance to your career. Available specializations include topics like cybersecurity, healthcare data management, and international business. During your second year in the Online MBA, you will delve into advanced business concepts, supplemented by coursework in communications and learning tools utilized in business data analytics and visualization.

How to Apply
Applications for the Virginia Tech Online MBA program are submitted electronically through the Virginia Tech Graduate School application system. The full application process takes about an hour to complete. You may save entered information and return to the application system at your own pace.
