Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) provides access to resources not owned by the RHEC Library. Libraries around the world share their collections with you. This services is free of charge for RHEC Library patrons.

Loaned items (books and media) typically arrive in a week. Articles arrive in 24-48 business hours and will be delivered to you electronically. Notification of receipt of materials is provided by email. Books and media are held at the RHEC Library for pickup.

  • Textbooks may not be requested
  • Community borrowers may place copy requests (journal articles, book chapters), but cannot place loan requests for physical items
  • Due dates for loaned materials are set by the lending library. If you need a renewal, please contact the ILL department so we may request a renewal on your behalf.

 

Submitting Requests from WorldCat and EBSCO Databases

You may quickly and easily submitt ILL requests directly from the WorldCat Discovery interface and EBSCO databases. Just look for a ‘Request Through Interlibrary Loan’ link underneath the resource you need. After clicking the link and signing into you account, a request form will automatically populate with all of the resource’s information.
