The Roanoke Higher Education Center Student Success Center is offering a FREE summer math camp geared toward rising 3rd through 5th graders who struggle with mathematics. This free camp is offered to families who meet certain income restrictions as stated on the registration form. The camp offers hands-on, interactive programs for each skill level. We meet the student where they’re at and help them gain confidence and improve their math skills!

A typical camp day will have focused math skills in the morning and math games and field trips after lunch. Some of the math skills offered are multiplication facts, number facts, order of operations, fractions, place values, variables, and evaluating expressions. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided.

Have your student join us for a community math program that will help prepare them for the upcoming school year.

Camp runs from June 20-July 23, 2023, and NO camp the week of the 4th of July, or on June 19th. Camp dates are:

  • June 20 – 23
  • June 26 – 30
  • July 10 – 14
  • July 17 – 21

Camp runs from 9 am to 4 pm daily with morning drop-off and breakfast beginning at 8:30 am. Families are responsible for transporting their children to and from camp.

Campers must sign up and attend all 4 weeks of camp! Campers who attend all 4 weeks will earn a certificate

The registration deadline has been extended to May 15th! Parents/guardians of students will be notified by May 30th if they’ve been accepted to attend camp. Please note that spots for this camp are limited and acceptance is not guaranteed.
