Sovah School of Health Professions

Sovah School of Health Professions is a small private higher education center that offers three distinct programs of study: Radiologic Technology, General Sonography and Cardiovascular Sonography. Each program is a full-time, two-year Associate of Applied Science Degree program. The school is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) and certified to operate as an Institution of Postsecondary Education by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV).

We are excited to offer our General Sonography Program at the Roanoke Higher Education Center. The need for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas makes our partnership with the Roanoke Higher Education Center vital for the workforce. The General Sonography Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs upon the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Our General Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program consists of Abdominal-extended, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Vascular Sonography. Learn more about the field of sonography.

Admission to our programs is competitive, and enrollment is limited, therefore admission to our program is not guaranteed.
